Heya 👋

I’m thinking of building a simple, unbiased comparison platform for products, services, tools — even technical stuff like frameworks, APIs, and AI tools — to help you decide faster with clear side-by-side insights.

Personally, I often find myself deep in Amazon reviews, YouTube videos, and scattered blog posts when trying to choose something new. While some comparison sites exist, I’ve never found a complete or truly comprehensive solution. The same goes for developers — when exploring new frameworks or libraries with similar alternatives, a quick, focused comparison could really help clarify things.

Before going further, I’d love to hear from you: Would you find this useful? Your feedback will help shaping what I build next.

I’m convinced all these new accounts making posts about AI is the same handful of trolls…

There’s been a constant stream of these lately, and it’s the logical result of all those troll communities who ban anyone for downvoting AI.

Everyone has blocked their main accounts and communities, so now comes the spam from new accounts into general communities

Sorry man, was just a question. No spam, no advertising. Sorry for bothering you so much. My intention was to hear some thoughts on this idea while following this community rules.

You just came in heavy with a fresh account and two promotional-ish posts.

I get the whole solopreneur grind and wish you the best – finding out what to make and how to market it is certainly the “fun” part.

This looks like a shittier version of the many, many comparison tools that already exist.

How does inserting an unreliable AI improve the comparison process?

I see your point, AI might not be the huge invention here but it might help with some automations. My idea was to build kinda the wikipedia of comparisons… to have all kinds of comparisons, not just tech, not just programming

How would the system know if things are even comparable?

If someone tries to compare a thin client to a PC, or an iPad to a server rack, that would be entertaining but pointless.

What non-technical comparisons do you have in mind? Clothes, food, pets? What if someone wants to compare pets as food?

The ‘product’ in this case isn’t the website, it’s the data.

Are you willing to spend days/months researching things and gathering data? For it to be useful, you have to be doing more than just repeat marketing data.

If your going to do it, do the research first, find a cool way of displaying it, then see if anyone is interested. If they are, consider making the platform.
