Other cities being more livable hasn’t made the landlords and small business owners who own city governments across America decide to allow public transit.
Alcoholicorn@mander.xyzto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Good public transit > self driving carsEnglish3·4 hours agoGood transit takes decades to build. Remote workers and startups can have it today if they just move to a place that does it better, while also solving other issues, such as insane rent and the prospective of being thrown into a concentration camp.

If there was some movement like that, it would be both easier and more effective to just move to a city with good public transit, Seoul or Beijing or Shenzhen if you have a fetish for electric cars.
Idk, I mean can’t you just pick it up from context?
Lmk if you genuinely can’t.
Well you can either look at the now public soviet archives to see what the government was saying to themselves, you know primary sources, and plenty of historians who cite those or you can accept what anti-communists with no primary sources and a weird tendency to rehabilitate nazi-collaborators say.
The holocaust was the result of pretty effective management, only possible with the latest technology, courtesy of IBM.
What lesson do libs and anarchists take away from the holodomer anyway? Don’t try to redistribute grain or stop hording during a famine?
Comparing a famine caused by poor harvests across eastern europe and exacerbated by poor management to the fucking holocaust is wild.

Not supporting the French was an intentional design decision.
That particular example, you buy it from a vendor, for 150-200 yen or 20-30 VND, not every example applies to literally everyone.
But also cold noodles and broth out of the fridge with a pre-made hard-boiled egg arent a bad way to start the day when the heat index gets to 118.
As for calories, dont make so much, dont drink the broth or you will have a heart attack.
I think the issue is that sugary cereal is both bad for you and not that enjoyable. For the same price, I can get a bahn mi with veggies, pate, and egg or pho or fried ramen. I look at people who eat cereal now that it’s no longer cheap the same way I look at people who eat at starbucks or dominoes when there’s a cheaper, better, local place right next door; wondering what’s going on in their life that they’re not willing to deal with the cognitive load of seeing what alternatives exist for breakfast.
What big decoupling?
