I’m not a technologist and I don’t switch from what works to something new just because it’s new…

…but I do keep up with advancements in areas that interest me such as robotics, machine learning, infomath (including encryption), web standards, and game development.

I mean, I do season my food, and I have a definite sugar problem. No dairy, I’m intolerant. Probably the sugar, then.

A right libertarian believes that the best government is the smallest and most local, and that the government cannot and should not regulate sex, drugs, guns, or businesses.

I’m much more familiar with the former, so if I’ve erred in describing the latter someone please correct me.

Look, they’re both legume patés that you spread on sandwiches. They both pair best with an acidic counterpoint. They both taste great with lettuce, or celery. I’m not coming out of nowhere with this.

IDK why everyone is saying they’re nothing alike. There’s definite similarities. But they’re different enough that you should at least try hummos yourself to see if you like it.

On the contrary, my repeated failure in learning to touch-type qwerty are why I learned dvorak: it was reported to be easier to use. And it is! It’s not advanced typing, it’s Easy Mode.

An instance is a server. You can always communicate with everyone on your own server. You can also communicate with everyone on any other server yours is connected to. Not every server is connected to every other; but most are connected to most.

You don’t need an account on each one, but you may want to set up a second account on an instance you like to use as a backup. I have accounts on midwest.social, slrpnk.net, and piefed.social; they all see the same content 99% of the time. But every so often midwest goes down for maintenance, or slrpnk has a firewall issue, and on those days I just switch accounts and keep going.
