Season 1 was absolutely fantastic. The show is much more tightly focused on the Targaryen family and takes place over a longer period of time. Season 1 even has a time jump mid season. Similar to Game of Thrones the ending of the first season sets up the overall conflict.
Season 2 has a lot of strong episodes and we do start to really get into the conflict, but it hedges at the end. The show was cut to 8 episodes down from 10 and as the writers strikes were ongoing the storyline wasn’t adjusted. As a result episode 8 sets up an episode 9 that doesn’t happen (yet).
I expect once season 3 airs season 2 won’t feel so bad. I think if someone were interested in watching I’d say to wait until season 3 begins.
The nice thing about House of the Dragon, compared to Game of Thrones, is that the whole story has already been written. The show has made some changes from the book so it may not come together the exact same way, but the story is also shorter so things can’t go completely wildly out of the way.
I’ve also been watching consistently throughout the seasons and feel the same. It’s got good episodes and it’s got not so good episodes, but few that are truly bad, but a few that are truly excellent.
The show has a golden era, and that era was the best. Now the show is in its silver era, a step up from the bronze era that ended a few seasons back mind you.
But I still laugh at every episode, so for me as long as they make episodes I laugh at I say keep 'em coming.
Sorta, you have two months and access to,
Pfft, I just eat the entire loaf in one sitting.
Just finished episode 4 (after binging the first three), and I’m really excited for this show.
I don’t know the long term plans for this show, but it feels like a final season just full of guest stars and with everything converging.
Bautista hot in the trail. Harrison in trouble. Serial killer society dinners. Dexter being the obvious culprit. I don’t know how you would ever top this.
Also I love Eric Stonestreet as a serial killer. I can’t wait to learn more about him.
Not Without My Anus was hilarious. But even funnier were the (fake?) voicemails used as commercials for the actual 2nd part conclusion.
Bummer. I hope the quality sticks for future seasons and I look forward to whatever Will Smith is going to work on next.
I wonder if privately it was. He mentions twice the amount of work, possibly because he’s recovering.
The setup from Hawkeye season 1 was definitely a passing of the torch, but maybe Renner isn’t ready to fully pass it. We know Kate is an expert with her bow, but maybe she still needs help figuring out the spy and investigation stuff. Maybe the plan was for Clint to be more “guy in the chair” (hence the reduced pay), but this article is meant to be more, “I’m not retired yet”.
I said what I said. And no one’s gonna bend or break me.
Discovery is fine, but it is the worst of the Star Trek series. It’s not bottom of the barrel TV, but it’s weak. It does some fun things, but it has a lot of episodes that just drag on.
That being said Strange New Worlds is excellent. It does have some weak episodes but when it’s great, it’s fantastic.
Of note KitKats made in the US are made by Hershey, not Nestle. As I understand it’s a legacy licencing deal and Nestle makes no money if you buy a US KitKat.
That being said Hershey’s chocolate is what it is. American’s are used to it, but it’s not great.
Terriers.
It’s a great crime drama with comedy mixed in. Has nothing to do with dogs and is just one of those unfortunately names shows.
As a mild spoiler the show actually has a great ending. It certainly sets up for future seasons and I really want to watch those seasons, but given that it was cancelled, it’s actually a solid ending.
I’m not even sure it’s a real feud. It’s two comedy shows making fun of each other. That’s hardly a fight.
